Showers that make you feel like a VIP
Your guests’ experiences in the bathrooms of your hotel play a big part in their overall perceptions of the accommodation. Unfortunately, it’s an all-too-frequent occurrence for guests to have a bad experience in the shower. Common complaints include too much or too little water, or a shower that suddenly turns boiling hot or ice-cold without the guest having turned the knobs. These are very real problems, particularly during the morning rush. In addition to the resulting potential danger of burns or falls as a result of being startled, this is also simply a nuisance.
Changes in temperature and flow are the result of fluctuations in pressure within the water system. A pressure fluctuation can occur, for instance, when you turn on a shower or tap, flush a toilet or switch on a dishwasher or washing machine. In short: every time the water system is used, the pressure within it will fluctuate. In hotel water systems, the only constant factor is the constantly shifting pressure.
HL2024 stabilises the output of the water system by eliminating the effects of pressure fluctuations. And it does so without expensive or drastic interventions.
In this way, the shower maintains the proper temperature and the tap always dispenses the optimum quantity of warm water. Temperature fluctuations of up to 7 degrees Celsius can be managed and reduced to an imperceptible level. Following installation, these results will be immediately noticeable – with no calibration needed.

Conservation and savings.
Many times, one shower will deliver more water than another. This is because the pressure is not equal at every point within a water system. Rooms located near the pump will often receive too much water (high pressure), while the rooms furthest from the pump will usually receive too little water (low pressure).
HL2024 establishes a fixed rate of water consumption at each draw-off point. This way, each and every room receives the right, optimum volume of water, every time. Not too little, not too much – always exactly enough! In this way, HL2024 automatically conserves water and energy (i.e. the energy used to heat warm water). And that means HL2024 reduces CO2 emissions as well. Which can really add up in places where a great deal of water is used.
Another benefit of setting a fixed water usage is that the installation will stabilise and an even water pressure will be maintained. The result is that the pump capacity required is less. On top of that, this yields savings in the energy used by the pump. HL2024 also makes water consumption predictable. It will be clear in advance exactly how much water and energy the system needs and uses. Which means you’ll never again encounter unpleasant surprises.
In short, HL2024 delivers savings in a number of areas while optimising your water system at the same time. This enhances the comfort of your clients or patients without them having to change their behaviour; it also benefits both your wallet and our planet. Everyone wins.

Case study:
Fluctuating shower water temperature in big hotel¹
The problem
A big hotel had reported issues with sudden temperature fluctuations in shower water. Tests showed that the water temperature out of the shower head deviated over 12.0 °C in a 5-minute time span. This caused discomfort and risks to guests.
The solution
To install the pressure independent flow controller HL2024 Inline into the cold and hot water supply pipes to the shower mixer.
Results
No more discomfort nor risks for the hotel’s guests regarding temperature deviations in the shower. Temperature fluctuations were reduced to less than 0,4 °C. Comfort and safety have increased thanks to a much more consistent temperature, as well as a constant quantity of water.
